Photos of the month

Welcome

The New Year decked the slopes with tons of powder, and skiers, riders and resort operators are continuing to celebrate. Lake Tahoe resorts all received between 5 and 12 feet of snow the first week of the 2008, so while December was all about snowmaking in the Sierra, January arrived with a series of storms that produced a deep solid base and a lighter layer of powder atop, as the first weather event of the New Year concluded with colder temperatures. The weather remains very unsettled in the Sierra, and week two of 08' is expected to bring several more feet of fresh. The rest of the West also benefited from the Pacific storm that slammed into Tahoe. Visit www.12sportsonline.com, read my Snowblog and link to any mountain in the West.
